Will you crack my back?
No. Osteopathic treatment does not employ high velocity manipulation to any part of the body. Some cavitation is normal as joints are worked on in a gentle manner, but manipulation will never force parts back into place.
Is Osteopathy like Chiropractic?
No. Osteopathy addresses not only spinal segments, it addresses the spine as a whole, the pelvis, cranium, ribs, extremities and the soft tissue found in between.
Is Osteopathic therapy covered by my insurance?
Most major insurance providers do cover Osteopathic care to some extent.
Do you do direct billing?
No. At the end of each appointment, once payment has been received, you will be provided with a receipt to submit to your health insurance provider.
Can I claim my receipt for missed appointments?
No. You may obtain a receipt for your missed appointment, but it is NOT eligible to be submitted for reimbursement. Please note that in the cases where a receipt is issued for a missed appointment, it will be noted on the receipt.
What happens if I miss an appointment?
The patient is to pay for missed appointments.
What happens if I’m late for an appointment?
The patient will receive treatment for the duration of the time remaining for their appointment.
What is your cancellation policy?
A patient may cancel their appointment within 24 hours of their scheduled appointment.

Does your office make reminder calls?
There is no secretarial staffing at Osteopathy on Queens. It is common to have your next appointment written on the back of your receipt or on a business card.

The appointment time has 30 mins allotted, but treatment is between 20-25 minutes.
